Role and Responsibilities:
To drive production forward on a day-to-day basis whilst achieving set food quality and food safety targets.
Key Performance Areas to include but not limited to:
- Responsible, lead, and follow up for certain raw materials including dried items.
- Organizing inventory issues to ensure minimal waste and stock purchases.
- Organizing daily workload and production schedules while producing maximum efficiency levels.
- Maintaining set level of food quality and food safety whilst maintaining production efficiency, quality, and food standards.
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained throughout the production process including the correct labeling and stock rotation of all products.
- Ensure products reach quality standards with appropriate packaging.
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
- Ensure product quality and taste is matched with customer suggestions.
- Monitoring and controlling staff attendance and performance.
- Introduction of new staff to production areas and co-ordinating training of new staff.
- Lead and ensure best teamwork by building relationships with all members of the production team.
- Responsible for general completion of all daily bakery/pastry production and preparation, maintaining food quality and food safety levels.
- Understand, respect, and follow the company policy.
- Responsible for all tasks assigned by Head Chef – ensuring that each team is completing the tasks correctly and being responsible for correcting any issues.
- Understanding material ordering system to meet ordering requirements.
