1. The IT Support Officer is responsible for supporting and maintaining IT hardware and providing basic software support to ensure smooth daily operations. This role focuses on IT equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance (PM), and first-level troubleshooting for desktops, notebooks, printers, and related devices.
2. The position also supports basic system and application monitoring after major IT projects, coordinates with internal teams and external vendors, and helps resolve technical issues to ensure stable and reliable IT services across the organization.
IT Hardware Operations & Support
- Support daily IT hardware operations, including desktops, notebooks, monitors, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and first-level repair for IT equipment issues.
- Coordinate hardware setup, replacement, and asset readiness for daily operations and internal activities.
Preventive Maintenance (PM) – IT Equipment
- Assist in planning and executing preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for IT hardware on a monthly / quarterly basis.
- Maintain documentation and tracking of PM activities for computers, printers, and related IT devices.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for PM execution and follow-up.
Vendor & Service Provider Coordination
- Coordinate with external vendors and service centers for hardware repair, warranty claims, and advanced technical support.
- Monitor vendor performance and follow up on corrective actions when required.
- Assist in tracking service records, warranties, and related documentation.
Software & Basic System Support
- Provide basic support for operating systems (Windows, macOS) and internal software applications.
- Assist users with basic software configuration, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Support post-project system monitoring and report issues or bugs to the IT Manager.
IT Administration & Support
- Support IT-related documentation such as asset records, maintenance logs, and support checklists.
- Receive and coordinate IT service requests from employees.
- Assist the IT Manager in daily IT operations, reporting, and system monitoring activities.
