Position Summary
The Project Engineer will act as a key support to Managing Director and lead capital investment projects (CAPEX). This role covers project coordination, supplier management, equipment installation, and reporting on cost-saving and efficiency initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on and adaptive professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and can work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage CAPEX projects from concept through commissioning, including feasibility studies, budgeting, planning, procurement, installation, and handover.
- Act as a project coordinator and project secretary to MD, tracking and reporting on company-wide projects related to cost-efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, maintenance, quality, procurement) to ensure project alignment and successful execution.
- Create technical documentation, project timelines, and progress reports.
- Liaise with suppliers and ensure on-time, in-budget project delivery.
- Use relevant tools or databases to consolidate project data for presentation and reporting to the Managing Director and relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor project timelines, costs, and quality standards, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost optimization within project scopes.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards throughout all project phases.
