Job Purposes:
This position holder has to utilize and integrate various sources of both internal and external data to provide suggestion/recommendation for drive category performance and total company opportunity in order to achieve better category performance and market share.
He/she has to improve sales and profit by working with merchandising, buyer, marketing, finance and operation team and using category management process in developing category strategies and tactic both short term and long term
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Analyze data and translate into information that make all concerned understanding and able to find out solution for category performance improvement.
- Support Market and Category Insight Director for planning and following up action plan with Supplier and buyer to increase customer count and improve basket size by category.
- Support each category manager under Trade team to evaluate all new project assigned with applicable suggestion and recommendation.
- Monitor market data, customer data from various sources in order to use as in put for Buying, Merchandising team, - Marketing team for better planning and implementation for their regular tasks.
- Participate in the completion of special projects as assigned, i.e format analysis, assortment analysis to provide insightful analysis with suggestion and recommendation.
- Ensure category management process and timeline to be done as per agreed, finding opportunity to grow categories by utilized and applied all category strategies and tactics.
- Keep continue monitor on key strategies ie. premiumization, value and assortment for each store format, trade up basket size, build regimen.
- Work with Supplier, Nielsen, Research agency as the representation of company to make all clear about market change and customers change.
- Lead category captains to conduct category review in term of presentation guideline which cover to sales, profit, promotion effectiveness and shopper research.
- Provide analytical reports to support cross functional teams i.e buyer, marketing, operation and finance on sales and GP performance, and integrate with market data to make understanding in business situation for make the right and prompt business strategy and direction
