• Actively participate in the development of business improvement strategies
• Prospecting, generating and actioning new enquiries
• Customer visits/calls, prospecting and generating new enquiries
• Represent the company at sales and trade conventions
• Identification and actioning of new leads
Sales and Customer Service
• Achievement of Sales and Margin Targets
• Analyse customer application needs, negotiate technical and commercial detail and variations as applicable
• Understand customer products, processes and manage expectations
• New enquiry management (to suitable point of transfer)
• Involvement in development of commercial offer/proposal and quotes
• Follow up and negotiate as required to point order placement
• Monitor competitor pricing, designs and industry related trends in order to assist management with planning, product development and formulating marketing strategies
• Involvement contract administration was warranted
General Activities
• Submit weekly progress call reports
• Record and manage customer interactions, leads, etc., within the company’s CRM
• Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met
• Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
Reporting
• Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM system
• Complete trip/customer visit reports
• Business Development Plan
