Responsibilities

- Supervise and lead product development projects in spray dry and dry mix product categories or other related products.

- Drive innovation and new product development in alignment with business strategy and customer requirements.

- Oversee formulation design, develop new product optimization and improvement to ensure competitive advantage.

- Plan, conduct, and evaluate laboratory experiments, prototype preparation, and sensory testing.

- Support scale-up processes and coordinate with production teams to ensure successful pilot and commercial runs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA/QC, Production, Procurement, Sales & Marketing, Regulatory affairs, Engineering) for project alignment and execution.

- Review and approve product specifications, formulations, and technical documentation.

- Provide technical support to internal teams and customers regarding product performance and application.

- Conduct raw material evaluation, supplier qualification, and cost optimization projects.

- Ensure compliance with food safety, legal, and regulatory requirements, as well as internal quality standards.

- Keep updated with industry trends, technologies, and competitor products to drive product innovation.

- Mentor and guide R&D Officer, ensuring knowledge transfer and development of team capability.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or related field.

- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in food product

development, with strong background in spray dry and dry mix products or other related products.

- Deep knowledge of ingredient functionality, processing technology, and product formulation.

- Strong understanding of food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Knowledge of sensory evaluation techniques and statistical analysis.

- Familiarity with food safety standards (FSSC, HACCP, GHP, ISO) and regulatory compliance.

- Proficiency in English for business and technical communication.

- Competent in MS Office and other relevant software/tools for R&D documentation and reporting.

- Experience in customer projects and co-development.

- Hands-on experience with pilot-scale equipment for spray drying and dry blending.

- Ability to manage multiple projects with strict timelines and prioritize effectively.

- Strategic mindset with strong business acumen to support innovation and growth.
