Laboratory Manager or advisor (Chemical Laboratory)
Intertek Testing Services (Thailand) Ltd.- Identify technical and scientific objectives for a department that aligns with the organization’s strategic plan and mission; implement plans to achieve those goals.
- Analyzed, reviewed, and approve test results including state of conformity following decision rules prior to submission for job processing report.
- Expert Technical Support and Training: Provide hands-on support, training, and mentorship to laboratory staff on complex procedures and techniques, ensuring the reinforcement of good laboratory practices.
- Protocol and Procedure Development: Assist in developing and writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), new laboratory methods, and study designs for research and surveillance activities to improve operation efficiency while maintain quality.
- Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Offer advanced problem-solving expertise for procedural, technical, or instrumentation issues, including the evaluation of test results to identify errors and implement corrective actions.
- Advisory and Consultancy Role: Advise laboratory management and leadership teams on process improvements, feasibility of new projects, budget management, procurement, and administrative tasks.
- Monitoring and Auditing: Monitor lab practices through regular audits to ensure continuous compliance with safety and quality standards, reviewing results of external quality assurance programs.
- Provide technical clarification for customers' enquiries and maintain good relationships with existing/prospective customers.
- Cultivate the careers of the direct reports and solve problems between team members as they arise.
- Maintain awareness of international standards and other governmental regulations and how they affect daily decisions in the laboratory.
- Bachelor’s degree in science, Chemical or equivalent experiences at least 5 years relevant in testing laboratory with 1 years at managerial level.
- In-depth theoretical knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, techniques, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities are essential.
- Experience in Inorganic analysis in fields of Toys, Hardlines and Food Testing is an advantage.
- Having knowledge of chemical, elemental/heavy metal analytical techniques with variety types of samples preparation and analysis.
- Ability to manage team in test method development, verification in related fields.
- Experience in ISO17025 system, documentation, and audit.
