BLCP Power Limited is a privately-own company where is located in the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate Phase 2 under the 30-year-long term lease contract signed by June 30, 2000 with the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT). Our vision is to become a role model of coal-fired power plants in Thailand. Its fuel source is a top-grade bituminous coal to be imported from Australia & Indonesia. The total generating capacity is 1,434 Megawatts. The company has been incorporated in accordance with the national policy for greater access and participation of private sector in the electricity generation business under the scheme of the Independent Power Producer; or commonly known as IPP Program. Draft, review negotiate, and provide legal comments on business contracts, transactions, projects, legal documentation and any business activities.
Provide legal advice and support to the business teams in corporate matters, contract matters, and general legal and compliance matters, including data privacy matters.
Handle corporate matters, and all corporate secretary matters including meeting arrangement. Provide and keep record of corporate documents as well company registration.
Work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.
Draft, provide, regularly review, update, and implement compliance policies and procedures.
Conduct compliance audits, identify areas of non-compliance, provide recommendations for corrective actions and prepare the compliance report to the management. Developing and implementing compliance framework.
Stay current on and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and developments and ensure timely implementation of new requirements.
Liaise with external lawyers and coordinate with internal related functions in order to formulate a strategic solution on legal issues or dispute at the corporate level.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law
5-10 years experience in corporate legal experience preferably in energy business
Good communication skills and ability to work independently
Good command both writing and reading in English
Strong analytical problem solving and time management skill.
