- Technical Drawing Interpretation: Read and analyze 2D/3D engineering drawings of plastic injection molds and related components to define technical specifications for procurement.
- Mold Procurement and Cost Evaluation: Lead the procurement of new molds, repair services, and mold modifications, including cost analysis and quotation comparison.
- Mold Supplier Selection and Management: Source, select, and evaluate mold makers both domestically and internationally to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiation and Procurement Control: Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, production lead times, and warranties for all mold purchases.
- Mold Quality Tracking and Inspection: Monitor the mold manufacturing progress and coordinate with engineers to participate in mold trials before final acceptance.
- Critical Technical Purchasing: Be responsible for purchasing machinery, spare parts, and raw materials with high technical specifications, based on the needs of Production and Maintenance.
- Engineering and Production Coordination: Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure that all purchased molds and machinery meet required production standards and performance criteria.
- Education and Background: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a directly related technical field.
- Specialized Experience: Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in purchasing molds/tooling or complex technical components.
- Drawing Interpretation Skills: Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings (2D/3D Drawings) of molds and parts.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of the mold manufacturing process and Plastic Injection Molding or automotive parts production processes.
- Language and Negotiation Skills: Excellent English proficiency (both written and spoken) for negotiation and managing overseas suppliers.
