Responsibilities

Contribute to technical strategy for key initiatives and drive their implementation through hands-on development and technical leadership within your team.
Tackle complex, open-ended problems, helping to define technical solutions that drive business impact with guidance on broader architectural decisions.
Write high-quality, production-ready code and contribute to critical development phases, including debugging, performance optimization, and system design.
Collaborate on product direction and technical decisions within your team and adjacent teams, ensuring code quality and system reliability.
Promote engineering excellence by following and helping establish technical standards, best practices, and design patterns.
Contribute through direct technical work while providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Take ownership of system components, including monitoring, maintenance, and incident response for areas of responsibility.
Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across Finnomena to design, build, and launch impactful features.

Requirements

5+ years of progressive software development experience, with demonstrated growth in technical responsibility and impact.
Strong experience contributing to and delivering complex technical projects from design through production deployment.
Solid understanding of system architecture and design patterns, with hands-on experience implementing scalable solutions.
Proficiency in core programming languages (e.g. Golang, Typescript, Python, and etc.) and strong software engineering fundamentals.
Track record of writing clean, maintainable code and contributing to critical system components with focus on quality and reliability.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively across teams.
Self-directed work style with good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address technical challenges proactively.
Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team technical growth.
