Position Overview.
We are looking for a Thai-Chinese Interpreter/Translator to translate Chinese documents, communication and other materials into Thai and Thai materials into Chinese. The candidate should have excellent Thai and Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and good English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, as well as excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities.
1. Document translation.
o Translate Chinese documents, emails and other written materials into Thai.
o Translate documents, emails and other written materials from Thai into Chinese.
o Conduct research to ensure proper use of terminology in both languages.
o Maintain glossaries and translation memories to ensure consistency.
2. Interpretation services.
o Provide Chinese-Thai interpretation services in meetings, conference calls, and other communication settings.
o Assist the company in communicating with Thai customers, suppliers, and partners.
o Conduct research to ensure proper use of terminology in both languages.
o Maintain glossaries and translation memories to ensure consistency.
3. Content Proofreading.
o Proofread and review translated documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
o Ensure that all translated content conforms to company standards and cultural context.
4. Communication and Coordination.
o Collaborate with various departments of the company to ensure the smooth running of the translation process.
o Participate in company projects related to the Thai market and provide language support.
5. Language Support.
o Provide language support in Chinese and Thai for in-house staff.
o Participate in training and language enhancement programs to improve the language skills of the team.
Job Requirements.
- Have full working rights for Thailand
- Educational Background.
o College degree or above, language related majors preferred.
- Language Proficiency:
o Chinese: excellent listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
o Thai: excellent listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
o English: good listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
- Work experience:
o Chinese-Thai translation and interpretation related work experience is preferred.
o Experience working in multinational companies or international projects is preferred.
o Experience in hotel industry is preferred.
- Skills Requirements:.
o Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
o Excellent organizational and time management skills.
o Proficient in the use of office software (e.g. Microsoft Office).
o Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tools experience a plus!
- Personal Qualities.
o Attentive, patient and a good team player.
o Ability to work under pressure and good problem solving skills.
