Job Overview
Siamaya Chocolate is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the company’s core support functions and ensure that administrative and operational systems run smoothly. Reporting directly to the CEO, the General Manager will supervise HR, accounting, purchasing, and office administration, while also providing executive support on strategic priorities.
This role is central to the company’s growth. The General Manager ensures that records, contracts, and compliance obligations are properly managed, that daily operations run efficiently, and that cross-departmental coordination is strong. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-growing Thai SME, offering the opportunity to shape systems and culture in one of Chiang Mai’s most dynamic consumer brands.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Supervise the in-house accountant/bookkeeper to ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping, invoicing, and statutory filings.
- Coordinate documentation for audits and external reporting.
- Review budgets and expense controls; report variances to the CEO.
Administration & Compliance
- Ensure a professional and efficient office environment.
- Maintain company records, licenses, and statutory filings with Thai authorities.
- Manage office leases, utilities, and service contracts.
- Prepare and file official correspondence, contracts, and agreements.
- Supervise reporting requirements for partners and customers.
Purchasing & Operations
- Oversee the Procurement Officer to ensure a reliable supply of ingredients, packaging, and office/factory needs.
- Implement procurement policies, vendor evaluations, and documentation standards.
- Support operations in coordinating logistics, couriers, and shipping where required.
Human Resources
- Supervise the HR Manager to ensure employment contracts, payroll, leave tracking, and policies are accurate and compliant with Thai labor law.
- Oversee implementation of performance management and employee relations processes.
- Ensure HR systems support recruitment, onboarding, and grievance handling.
Executive Support to the CEO
- Draft correspondence, reports, and presentations on behalf of the CEO.
- Follow up with departments on tasks and deadlines assigned by the CEO.
- Act as a confidential point of contact for sensitive matters.
