Responsibilities

Purpose of the role

Maintenance Support on site is to support the efficient and safe operation of the school by performing a wide range of maintenance-related duties during both day and night shifts. This role requires close collaboration with various departments, prompt response to emergencies, and proactive involvement in ensuring all equipment and systems function reliably. The position also plays a vital role in upholding safety standards, supporting colleagues, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Maintenance Department through flexibility, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Working hour: Day Shift: 8 am. - 5 pm. (Monday- Saturday) Sunday Day off

Vacation according to school holidays

Night Shift : 6 pm. - 8 am. Every day and including school holidays

Additional Duties and Practices:

Collaborate closely with various departments within the Maintenance Department, treating their tasks as if they were your direct responsibilities.

Serve as a substitute in various job positions as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

Prioritize all assigned tasks and ensure they are completed within the designated schedule.

Undertake additional related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Check and write down the values of equipment and tools every day.

Turn on and off the air chiller at the specified time every day for teaching, learning, or upon request

Resolve power outages at night

Respond to problems reported by teachers or employees at night

Stress the importance of respecting supervisors and adhering to the school's rules and regulations.

Hold employees accountable for their assigned work, ensuring they do not neglect or abandon their responsibilities without reasonable cause.

Maintain flexibility by being open to any other duties or tasks requested by the Line Manager to contribute to the organization's success.

Any other duties as requested by the Line Manager.

Person Specification

Requirements

QULIFICATION AND EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Technical or vocational training in electrical, mechanical, or general maintenance is preferred.

Experience working night shifts or in an educational institution setting is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills, especially in handling emergencies such as power outages.

Basic knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.

Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities support role is highly desirable.

Ability to operate and monitor mechanical systems and tools (e.g., air chillers, electrical panels).

Good record-keeping skills for tracking tool and equipment usage.

Able to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Capable of working independently and taking initiative, especially during night shifts.
