Job purpose: The Regulatory Affairs and Legal Executive is responsible for ensuring the organization’s compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, while also providing guidance on legal matters. This role involves overseeing regulatory filings, managing legal documentation, and liaising with governmental authorities to support business operations and mitigate risk.
Regulatory affairs:
- Develop and implement regulatory strategies to ensure compliance with local, regional, and international laws relevant to the organization’s industry.
- Prepare, review, and submit regulatory filings, licenses, permits, and registrations.
- Monitor changes in regulatory frameworks and communicate potential impacts to stakeholders.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and governmental authorities.
- Provide training to staff on regulatory requirements and best practices.
Legal Supervision:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Provide legal advice on corporate policies, risk management, and governance.
- Manage disputes, litigation, and external legal counsel when required.
- Maintain and organize corporate legal documents, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant.
- Support internal audits and investigations to ensure adherence to ethical and legal standards.
Cross-Functional Support:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as R&D, Sales and Finance Accounting to address regulatory and legal matters.
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures to mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
- Stay informed about industry trends and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
