JOB SUMMARY: Provision of company information technology and user support services, to include the infrastructure and the technical and user support staff associated with these functions. Ensures operational continuity of facilities, and the cost-efficient provision of hardware and software services and support, problem analysis, and core technical support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and coordinate the unit's day-to-day user support activities, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of user problems and concerns with respect to core computer hardware and software.
- Analyze and resolve the problem related to hardware and software in computer systems.
- Analyze and resolve computer applications and system problems, provide a wide range of technical assistance to the end-users.
- Provides individual and/or group basic computer and application instruction as well as training users and staff on computer technologies, as appropriate.
- Provide technical support for research and development initiatives and new technologies.
- Writes a basic command of language script, using relevant scripting languages to support IT systems.
- Review, evaluate, and recommend solutions for hardware and software acquisitions.
- Maintain a broad knowledge of up-to-date computer technology, equipment, and systems.
- Maintain applicable records including user lists, user accounts and security, and equipment inventory.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
