Responsibilities

Quality Planning and Design:

- Collaborate with R&D to define product specifications, quality standards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for new models.

- Develop and execute a comprehensive Quality Control Plan and Inspection and Test Plan for each new product.

- Utilize quality tools and methodologies such as APQP to prevent quality issues.

- Review and approve new product blueprints, drawings, and other technical documentation.

Process and Supplier Management:

- Assess and qualify new suppliers and vendors for components and materials for new models.

- Conduct supplier audits and manage supplier quality to ensure components meet all specifications.

- Work with production teams to establish in-process quality control measures and inspection points.

- Develop and implement quality control systems and procedures for the new production lines.

Testing and Validation:

- Design and oversee the testing and validation of new prototypes and pre-production units.

- Perform and/or supervise dimensional, functional, and performance inspections using a variety of measuring instruments

- Analyze test data and inspection results to identify deviations from quality standards.

- Prepare and present detailed quality reports to management and cross-functional teams.

Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement:

- Lead root cause analysis efforts for any quality defects or non-conformances identified during development or initial production.

- Implement and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the new product development and manufacturing processes.

- Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related issues with suppliers and customers during the new model launch.

Documentation and Compliance:

- Develop and maintain comprehensive quality control documentation, records, and reports.

- Ensure all new products and processes comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, FSC, EUDR etc.) and regulatory requirements.

- Support internal and external audits for new product quality systems.

- Provide training to quality inspectors and production operators on new product specifications and quality procedures.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field).

- Proven experience in a QC or QA role, with a strong focus on new product development or manufacturing.

- In-depth knowledge of quality control methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, SPC, MSA, 8D, etc.).

- Experience with quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a strong attention to detail.

- Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and identifying trends.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

- Able to work on alternative Saturday.
