Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Sales Supervisor, Dental Implants, is responsible for leading a team of Sales Representatives to achieve sales targets, market share growth, and build strong professional relationships within the dental community in the assigned territory. This role requires clinical and technical expertise in dental implant systems, surgical protocols, and restorative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
I. Sales Leadership & Performance
Target Achievement: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed established revenue and unit targets for the dental implant portfolio.

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Sales Representatives, providing regular coaching, performance feedback, and joint field visits.

Forecasting & Reporting: Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual sales for the territory and prepare comprehensive reports on sales activities, market trends, and competitive landscape.

Budget Management: Manage the team's sales budget, including expense control and resource allocation (e.g., sample inventory, educational events).

II. Technical & Clinical Expertise
Product Knowledge: Maintain expert-level technical and clinical knowledge of the company's dental implant systems, components, instruments, and digital solutions.

Clinical Support: Provide advanced technical and clinical support to the sales team and key clients (e.g., Oral Surgeons, Periodontists, Prosthodontists, and General Dentists).

Surgical Case Coverage: May occasionally assist or supervise sales reps in providing clinical support and logistical assistance during complex surgical procedures in the operating room or clinic.

Educational Events: Plan, organize, and execute training sessions, "lunch & learns," and seminars for dental professionals on new products and implant techniques.

III. Market Development & Account Management
Key Account Strategy: Identify, manage, and grow relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), large dental groups, and major institutional accounts.

Business Development: Actively prospect new clinics and dental practices, converting them into long-term clients for the implant product line.

Territory Planning: Oversee the development and execution of individual territory plans by the sales team to ensure optimal coverage and market penetration.

Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and timely resolution of product-related issues, queries, and logistical concerns.

Requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience:

  • Minimum of [X] years of proven sales experience, with at least [Y] years specifically in dental implants or a related medical device field.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory, team lead, or management role is highly preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field. (A dental/clinical background, such as a Dental Hygienist or Dental Assistant, with sales experience is a significant asset).

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of dental anatomy, implant biomechanics, surgical procedures, and digital dentistry workflows (e.g., CAD/CAM, intraoral scanners).

Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Must be results-oriented and possess strong problem-solving abilities.

Travel: Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region (and occasionally overnight/out-of-state) to support the team and clients.
