Internal Audit Officer

1. Leading Audit Projects:
   • Coordinate the audit team, allocate tasks and ensure audit objectives and timelines are met.
   • Review preliminary work of junior auditors to ensure quality and accuracy.
2. Audit Procedures & Fieldwork:
   • Perform walkthroughs, testing, data analysis and documentation according to audit programs.
   • Analyze processes and controls to identify weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
3. Risk Assessment and Compliance:
   • Participate in risk assessment activities for audit planning.
   • Evaluate control effectiveness and compliance with laws, policies and operational procedures.
   • Raise observations based on evidence and sound professional judgment.
4. Audit Reporting and Follow-Up:
   • Prepare detailed audit reports, including effect, findings and recommendations.
   • Present preliminary findings to auditees and assist management in developing action plans.
   • Track the implementation of corrective actions and prepare follow-up status reports for supervisor and stakeholders.
5. Continuous Improvement:
   • Suggest enhancements to audit processes, templates, and methodologies.
   • Keep updated with internal audit standards, risk trends and best practices.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration:
   • Coordinate with business units to obtain relevant information and clarify audit issues.
   • Maintain professional and constructive relationships with stakeholders across the organization.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in internal or external audit.

Functional Skills:

• Good knowledge of auditing standards, risk management and internal control frameworks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good command of spoken and written in English.

• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to lead audit assignments and guide junior team members
• Ability to explain audit issues clearly to stakeholders.
