This role is responsible for developing and managing accurate demand forecasts to support business operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical data, market trends, and sales input to create and maintain accurate demand forecasts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to gather insights and ensure alignment between demand plans and business objectives.
- Data Analysis: Utilize forecasting techniques to improve data accuracy and identify irregularities.
- Monitoring and Adjustment: Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust plans as needed based on market changes and customer behavior.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports and dashboards to support decision-making and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- S&OP Participation: Lead and actively participate in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Inventory Optimization: Collaborate with inventory management and sales planning teams to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory or stockouts.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of demand planning.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in demand planning.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with multiple departments to leverage data for planning purposes.
