Job Summary:
The Quantity Surveyor (MEP) is responsible for managing all cost aspects related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works on construction projects. This includes cost planning, value engineering, procurement advice, contract administration, and cost control, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for MEP works.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documentation to prepare accurate cost plans.
• Conduct tender analysis and evaluations for MEP subcontractor packages.
• Manage the procurement process for MEP subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor and control project budgets, identifying and reporting any cost variances.
• Assess and certify subcontractor payment applications for MEP works.
• Prepare, submit, and negotiate variations and change orders.
• Support in preparing monthly cost reports and financial statements for MEP packages.
• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of claims, including EOT (Extension of Time) claims.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure cost control is maintained.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, including tracking of orders, invoices, and payments.
• Provide advice on contractual matters related to MEP packages.
