About Nanmeebooks

Nanmeebooks is a publisher and learning service provider with the goal to promote lifelong reading and learning to nurture Active Citizens, which we have defined as someone who is capable, ethical, responsible for oneself, as well as having the conscience to be responsible to the society.

Nanmeebooks was founded in 1992 by Mrs.Suwadee Chongsatitwatana. She hoped to make a difference in Thai society by using books as tools to raise the standards of education. Although most of our books are for children and young adults, we are a publisher for all readers, with a diverse variety of books (physical and ebooks) from all of the world, for example

We believe in the saying that “I am me because of the books I read”. That is why our team pays great attention to select good quality books from around the world, may they be translated from English, German, Polish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, French, Spanish, Swedish and more. We also promote Thai authors by organizing writing awards called “Wankaew” since 2000, which is under the patronage of HRH Princess Mahachakri Sirindhorn, for picture books, middle grade fiction and adult non-fiction. Nanmeebooks also promotes reading culture in Thailand with the vehicle of “Nanmeebooks Reading Club”, which is an initiative to promote reading in schools. To date, over 400,000 young people have received “Reader of the Year” certificates.

In 2014, Nanmeebooks established a children bookstore called “Wankaew”, which is the penname of our author, HRH Princess Mahachakri Sirindhorn.

Today Nanmeebooks also operates Rain Tree Residence in Khaoyai, a hotel for families, nature lovers and book lovers. We are a green hotel, friendly to the environment. Adjacent to our hotel is Go Genius Learning Center, where our camps and training take place. The concept is to “let nature inspires us to learn”.
