McCormick would like to accelerate the consumer and flavor solutions business in SEA with initial focus on Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Based in Thailand, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and delivering marketing & media strategies, plans and execution for SEA consumer (including Food Services) and flavor solutions business. Focus will be on the consumer business. The person will be responsible for building McCormick brands into iconic brands in the region, growing brand penetration and building reputation of McCormick as a great brand building company.
The incumbent will report into SEA MD, sit on the SEA LT and be a partner to SEA MD and input into total SEA strategies and plans. They will also be a point person to work with McCormick Philippines and provide any support to the smaller McCormick consumer businesses in Indonesia/Vietnam.
This role will require close collaboration with Global Marketing teams, SEA multifunctional teams, Sales, Information Services, Media and creative agencies. As function head, this person will be responsible for attracting and developing the next generation of marketers and train them to deliver breakthrough outputs. They should have strong knowledge of the SEA digital eco-system.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop a strong base brand building program for McCormick brands in SEA to deliver marketing objectives (such as including brand awareness, penetration, repeat). Work closely with commercial/sales to define in-store (online/offline) objectives to deliver on brand penetration. Deliver relevant content for Flavor Solutions. Contribute to building strategies for the SEA region.
• Co-create (with multifunctional teams) and deliver breakthrough product/packaging innovations.
• Build strong consumer and customer understanding – including upcoming trends – based on internal and external data and utilize this knowledge to develop strong marketing and innovation plans.
• Continue to strengthen self and organization capability on marketing, particularly the understanding of digital content, media, measurement and optimization.
• Train the organization into strong brand builders, ready for more senior roles in SEA and beyond.
• Build reputation of McCormick as a company that builds great brands and is a great place for marketers to work in.
