Seagate ITA (International Trade Administration) is responsible for operational implementation of, and ensuring adherence to, various international trade compliance programs that support Seagate’s import/export activity. ITA review Seagate’s product portfolio and ensure strategic goods are appropriately classified and controlled for export. ITA is responsible for the review and release of system orders and shipments, consistent with global trade regulations.
About the role - You will:
- Coordinate, Provide sufficient support to ITA team on BOI/Customs related day to day routine jobs effectively.
- Assist manager in overseeing and ensuring compliance with the obligations of the Board of Investment (BOI) and Customs compliance.
- Assist in managing and supporting various either global or local trade compliance initiatives such as global trade and engage/coordinate with difference stakeholders effectively.
- Coordinate with the team on Customs and BOI audits, investigations, and reviews while closely collaborating with the finance team, Tax team, and other pertinent stakeholders.
- Collaborating closely with Tax Team to ensure consistency in the implementation and execution of government policies, utilizing resources and support operation team, and keeping them updated on latest announcement from BOI/Customs regulation to management.
- Coordinate information and collection from stakeholders and submit BOI required report
- Oversee and monitor ITA related systems such as GTS, TBMS in terms of functionalities and performance.
- HTS and ECCN Classification, SPL screening etc.
About you
- Bachelor's or master's degree in trade compliance is preferred. Other fields like Customs affairs or international trade affairs etc.are also accepted.
- Strong communication skills in both THAI and English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to foster robust relationships with internal stakeholders and 3rd parties including Government authorities.
Your experience includes:
- Relevant working experience of 8 years at least in BOI Incentives and Customs regulations
- Special Skills good to have: Certified in Customs specialist is a plus and familiar with Inbound and Outbound shipments clearance process and BOI, Free Zone regulations and the Customs/BOI systems.
- Have strong computer skills and ERP system (SAP) and MS office are preferred.
- Have 2-3 years’ experience in team management.
- Having knowledge and experience on Six sigma or Lean project is preferred.
