Responsibilities

We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Officer to oversee our accounting team. In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure the accuracy of accounting records, and prepare accounting reports. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of accountants and accounting clerks, including managing workload, providing performance feedback, and supporting professional development.

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring they are accurate and completed in a timely manner.

• Ensure all accounting activities comply with relevant regulations, standards (e.g., IFRS/TFRS), and company policies.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

• Manage the period-end and year-end close processes.

• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience as an Accounting Supervisor or in a similar senior accounting role.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (IFRS/TFRS).

• Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
