Role Title: Head of Financial Strategic Projects
Reports to: Group CFO
Purpose of the role:
The Head of Financial Strategic Projects will lead the financial transformation journey for a group of schools. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing cost efficiencies, driving strategic financial projects, feasibility studies, scenario planning and decision making on strategic projects, enhancing internal controls, and supporting preparation of the organization for a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO).
The position may be based in Bangkok or Phuket. The role will involve travel as and when required to other schools in the group.
The specific duties of this position are listed below:
Strategic Financial Projects
●     Manage critical financial initiatives, including cost optimization, revenue growth strategies, and capital investment planning.
●     Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for leadership.
●     Manage group wide cost efficiency planning and implementation.
●     Support data preparation for Executive Committee meetings
●     Monitor and report on the progress and impact of financial projects.
●     Implement a Delegation of authority manual and subsequent alignment across the group
●     Attend weekly school update meetings and prepare business cases/scenarios for any financial related matters
●     Orchestrate the group’s strategic developments and drive decision making
Finance Transformation
●     Support the redesign and modernization of financial systems and processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
●     Implement digital tools and automation to enhance financial reporting, forecasting, and decision-making.
●     Collaborate with IT and external consultants to ensure successful deployment of finance technology solutions.
IPO Preparation and Execution
●     Develop and execute a roadmap for IPO readiness, including compliance, reporting, and governance.
●     Partner with external advisors to ensure regulatory and legal requirements are met.
●     Provide leadership and guidance on financial due diligence and investor relations.
●     Ensure compliance with SEC, GAAP, and other regulatory requirements.
●     Oversee the preparation of financial disclosures, including prospectuses, filings, and investor presentations.
●     Manage the Implementation of IPO Internal Control Project with external advisor across the group, reviewing policies and remediating where necessary any recommendations that are required . This will include the establishment of robust internal controls and processes to meet public company standards.
Cross-functional Leadership
●     Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams (legal, HR, marketing, etc.) to align on IPO objectives.
Post-IPO Transition
●     Develop and implement processes for quarterly reporting, investor relations, and ongoing compliance as a public company.
●     Support the finance team in adapting to new operational and reporting standards.
