Job Purpose:
To lead and manage the development, integration, and innovation of advanced substation automation (SA) and software-defined substation (SDS) technologies. The role focuses on applying engineering, R&D, and digital solutions to support utility transformation, grid modernization, and intelligent power systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Strategy
Define the vision, roadmap, and strategic goals of Grid Intelligence & Solutions (GIS) Lab aligned with corporate objectives.
Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, researchers, and integration specialists.
2. System Integration & Engineering
Oversee the design, testing, and deployment of SA and SDS solutions, including IEC 61850, process bus, and digital protection schemes.
Manage system-level architecture for substation automation, including IEDs, SCADA, communication networks, and cybersecurity.
3. Research & Innovation
Drive R&D initiatives in areas such as digital substations, AI/ML for grid applications, edge computing, and smart grid intelligence.
Collaborate with academic, industry, and technology partners to stay at the forefront of innovation.
4. Project Management
Supervise the execution of pilot and commercial projects, ensuring timeline, budget, and technical quality.
Provide technical consultancy and troubleshooting support to internal and external stakeholders.
5. Knowledge Development
Build internal capabilities by mentoring staff, developing standard procedures, and ensuring knowledge transfer.
Organize training, technical workshops, and cross-functional collaboration within the organization.
