Our client, a leading jewelry company based in Thailand, specializing in costume jewelry and clothing accessories development and production, is seeking a talented and passionate Industrial Director to join their team. As the Industrial Director you will oversee the jewelry production operations across multiple sites in Thailand and Cambodia. Your expertise in jewelry manufacturing and metallurgy, combined with your strong knowledge of glass and crystal manufacturing techniques, materials, and quality standards, will be critical in ensuring the success of our operations.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to Production Managers and production teams across all sites.
- Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement among production teams.
- Set clear goals and objectives for Production Managers and regularly review their performance.
Jewelry and Glass/Crystal Production Oversight:
- Supervise and coordinate production activities of three sites in Thailand and Cambodia, including the glass and crystal factory in Chiang Mai.
- Ensure production processes adhere to quality standards, deadlines, and cost efficiency targets.
- Collaborate with Production Managers to optimize workflow, improve productivity, and reduce waste.
- Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps.
Product Development Supervision:
- Lead and supervise the product development function, working closely with design and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Product Development Manager to ensure timely execution of new jewelry designs, glassware, and crystal prototypes.
- Review and provide feedback on design concepts, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer preferences.
- Oversee coordination of product samples, testing, and quality assurance procedures.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness and efficiency of production operations.
- Regularly monitor KPIs, production metrics, and relevant data to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports on production performance, including recommendations for process optimization and cost reduction.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, logistics, quality assurance) to ensure seamless coordination of activities.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to understand customer demands, market trends, and sales forecasts to align production accordingly.
- Participate in regular meetings with senior management to provide updates on production and product development activities
