Procurement & Supplier Management
- Select, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and service
- Manage contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions
- Maintain supplier database and purchasing records
- Handle claims and resolve delivery issues
- Discover new suppliers to optimize cost and performance
Inventory & Storage Control
- Manage inventory levels and working capital efficiently
- Implement stock strategies (e.g. JIT, consignment, contract call-off)
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and preservation of materials
- Apply FIFO/FEFO systems and conduct regular stock audits
- Monitor slow-moving or obsolete inventory and propose corrective actions
Purchase Administration
- Prepare purchase orders and comparison sheets based on vendor selection
- Maintain accurate documentation (RFQ, PO, contracts, quotations)
- Coordinate with finance and other departments to align procurement with company needs
- Generate procurement reports and track budget variances
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure purchased items meet quantity, quality, and delivery requirements
- Apply quality standards and tools throughout the procurement process
- Comply with audit, legal, and internal control requirements
Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and support purchasing team with clear goals and real-time feedback
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and finance departments
- Foster teamwork and continuous improvement
Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities
- Enforce safety standards and respond to risks proactively
- Comply with environmental, health, and fire protection regulations
Reporting & Budget Oversight
- Prepare country-level purchasing reports and forecasts
- Monitor procurement activities against budget and operational needs
Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by line manager
