Job Responsibilities:
This role involves the development and qualification of supplier products and processes for new purchased parts, collaborating with Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Conducting capability assessments of key suppliers, focusing on advanced quality tools, manufacturing capabilities, material management, and lean maturity.
• Coordination across Customer Service, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Supplier Quality to address component quality and delivery issues.
• Supporting site Quality and Supply Chain teams to ensure supplier product quality and delivery performance.
• Creating and coordinating supplier audit schedules and managing the qualification of new suppliers and materials, including First Article Inspection Reports.
• Preparing audit reports, conducting investigations, and summarizing activities for management presentations.
• Promoting cost reduction initiatives and improving the Cost of Quality.
• Driving cost-effective manufacturing process improvements and optimizing throughput while minimizing waste through collaboration with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain.
• Assisting in the development, approval, and maintenance of material specifications, quality assurance procedures, and supplier documents.
• Analyzing quality data from various systems and generating reports for senior management.
• Evaluating supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems, managing compliance with regulations.
• Overseeing the supplier PPAP process and facilitating problem-solving and root cause analysis to address non-conformances.
• Working with Supply Chain on Risk Management Reviews and performing periodic supplier performance evaluations.
• Providing input during the Design & Development phase for supplier selection and working to enhance evaluation processes and tools.
