- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of semiconductor processing equipment (backgrind , wafer saw, laser saw, die prep auxiliary tools).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Optimize equipment performance through process adjustments, upgrades, and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Collaborate with process engineers, manufacturing teams, and external vendors to resolve equipment-related issues and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Develop and update maintenance procedures, work instructions, and training materials for equipment operation and repair.
- Participate in equipment installation, qualification, and commissioning activities for new tools and technologies.
- Analyze equipment data to identify trends, predict failures, and implement proactive measures to prevent disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards within the manufacturing environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and 5S principles, to enhance equipment reliability and reduce costs.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in equipment engineering within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with semiconductor process equipment (backgrind, wafer saw, laser saw, and die prep auxiliary machines)
- Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electromechanical and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to fault finding.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as required by operational needs.
