Prepare bookkeeping entries for individuals or corporations.
Prepare simple to complex tax returns for individuals or corporations.
Use all appropriate adjustments, deductions, and credits to minimize clients' taxes.
Communicate with Client Service Managers/Senior Lawyers to obtain additional information from clients regarding taxable income, deductible expenses, and allowances.
Review financial records, such as income statements and documentation of expenditures, to determine the forms needed for preparing tax returns.
Provide the client with sufficient information and advice to ensure accurate tax form completion.
Consult current tax law handbooks or bulletins to determine the procedures for preparing returns.
Check data input or verify totals on forms prepared by others to detect errors in arithmetic, data entry, or procedures.
